Counting Scales

Counting scales are used for parts counting and inventory control. Counting scales efficiently and accurately count large volumes of identical parts by weighing a sample of the items to be weighed, normally 10, 20 or 50 pieces, the scale then calculates the piece weight or each part and will then display the quantity of items that you place on the weighing platform. We have a range of counting scales from manufacturers such as Salter Brecknell, Ohaus & Adam.

Frequently Asked Questions

Counting scales are versatile weighing scales that count and weigh objects simultaneously. For example, they can be programmed to calculate the number of identical components in a load to reduce manual counting. They are ideal for quality control, warehouse operations, production facilities and factory environments.

Capacities for counting scales vary across our counting scales from under 10kg up to and including 60kg. However, a typical range is between 20kg to 30kg. Some of our counting scales can store data for up to 7,000 unique items making them ideal for any manufacturing or production facility. You can browse the entire range here.

The readability of Counting Scales refers to the smallest increment or division of weight measure they display. This indicates the precision and sensitivity of the equipment. Readability is also sometimes referred to as resolution or division size.

Electronic or digital Counting Scales are typically more accurate than mechanical alternatives. Built with precision, they can provide highly accurate weight and count results time after time. Ask our sales team about your specific requirements.

Calibration certificates are evidence that your Counting Scale equipment is providing accurate results. They are often required as part of an organisation's quality assurance procedures. Our service teams can help with any questions you have regarding certifying our lifting equipment.

Re-calibration periods will vary depending on how and why you are using your counting scale. We do, however, normally recommend they are calibrated annually as a minimum. Speak to our team with any questions.

Counting Scales may require Trade Approvals if you are selling or transacting based on weight. Trade Approval types vary from industry to industry. Contact our sales team to find what works best for you.

Power requirements vary across our counting scale range. You can choose models that operate with traditional batteries, internal rechargeable batteries or main AC power. Contact our sales teams if you have any questions about installing or operating our crane scales.

We provide a broad range of counting scales with prices that vary between £500 to £1,500 depending on their capacity and operating features. Speak to our team about the right product for you.

Our Counting Scale can typically be delivered to your premises within 3-7 days depending on the make and model. Contact our sales team for more information.
