Description

The Ravas iPT represents a paradigm shift in mobile weighing design. While traditional pallet truck scales rely on a bulky external indicator housing mounted behind the pump, the iPT features a revolutionary fully integrated display built directly into the handle.

This sleek, ergonomic “hidden” technology is the ultimate USP for busy warehouse environments. By removing the protruding indicator box, the iPT maintains the exact dimensions and agility of a standard hand pallet truck, making it easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces, narrow aisles, and inside delivery vehicles. All without the risk of knocking or damaging an external screen and maintaining good visibility for operators.

The New Standard for Ergonomic Weighing

The iPT isn’t just about aesthetics; it is engineered for high-intensity industrial use where speed and durability are paramount.

  • Integrated Handle Display: The high-contrast weighing indicator is seamlessly embedded into the handle head. This puts the weight data directly in the operator’s line of sight during transport, improving safety and ergonomics.
  • Ultimate Maneuverability: Without a traditional indicator housing, the truck has a smaller turning radius and zero “blind spots.” It fits wherever a standard pallet truck fits, making it perfect for loading lorries and navigating congested packing stations.
  • Superior Battery Performance: Powered by a high-efficiency Li-ion battery pack, the iPT offers exceptional autonomy for multi-shift operations. The battery is easily exchangeable, ensuring the truck stays on the move 24/7.
  • Rugged Digital Interface: Despite its slim profile, the iPT features a chemical-resistant keypad and a robust housing that protects the electronics from the vibrations and impacts of daily warehouse life.
  • Smart Connectivity: Equipped with Bluetooth as standard, the iPT connects effortlessly to the RAVAS WeightsApp. This allows for instant data transfer to tablets or smartphones, streamlining your digital inventory tracking.

Precision and Durability

  • Multirange Graduation: The iPT provides pinpoint accuracy by automatically switching increments: 2kg up to 200kg, 0.5kg up to 500kg, and 1kg up to the full 2,000kg capacity.
  • Automatic Zero Correction: Ensures that every lift starts from a clean zero, maintaining a maximum tolerance of just 0.1% of the applied load.
  • Industrial Build Quality: Features IP67-rated load cells and a reinforced chassis, ensuring that the “intelligent” handle is backed by a workhorse frame capable of handling 2-tonne loads day in, day out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please see below for answers to frequently asked questions.

A calibration certificate proves the accuracy of your weighing equipment. It is very likely that if accuracy matters in your workplace, certification will be required by your industry regulators. They are straightforward to get hold of though. Just ask our team.

If you are trading or transacting anything by weight, you will probably need to demonstrate your weighing equipment is verified for trade use. This gives your customers confidence in your business and will make sure buying and selling run smoothly. We can help get you with relevant approvals for your equipment.

The answer will vary depending on how your equipment is used. As a minimum, we typically recommend once a year but our team can provide advice based on your individual circumstances.

The International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) has established standards for the classification of calibration test weights. Varying from E0 & E1, which are the most accurate to M2 which are commonly used for calibrating platform scales, floor scales and other industrial weighing instruments.

As a rough guide we have listed desired accuracy against class below.

+/- 0.1% – UNclassed Proof Load Test Weights
+/- 0.05% – M3 (Check/calibrate coarse scales)
+/- 0.005% – M1 (Check/calibrate standard scales)
+/- 0.0015% – F2 (Check/calibrate portable balances)
+/- 0.0005% – F1 (Check/calibrate precision balances)
+/- 0.00015% – E2 (Check/calibrate analytical balances)

The choice of weight class depends on the intended use and the level of accuracy required for a particular application. If you’re unsure, talk to our team who can advise you on the right class for your equipment.

If you’re sending a scale back to us for recalibration, it is ideal to use the original packaging. If this is not available choose a sturdy well-padded box to avoid shocks. Where possible, protect the load sensor by removing the weighing pan and any under-pan support and pack these separately in the box. You may be able to use the equipment’s locking pins or screws too.

Do ensure all the paperwork, including your contact details, is included to ensure we can return it once calibration is complete.
