Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue or use the search facility, then click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit cards, Paypal and payment by BACS transfer. We are unable to accept orders over the phone.

Shipping & Handling

All goods must be signed for upon delivery. The delivered items must be checked when received and any faults or carrier damage must be reported within 2 working days so that we can claim against the courier. If damage to the goods is not reported in 2 working days then we will not be able to offer a free of charge replacement. A variety of couriers are used depending on size of goods or if the items come direct from the manufacturer but if the courier has been unable to deliver the goods you will normally be left a card stating the local depot’s address and telephone number so you can arrange another date for the delivery or arrange to pick the goods up from the depot. Please note that for Non-UK mainland deliveries over 20 kg, the delivery cost may vary from the online order price. If there is a change we will contact you within one working day to confirm the change prior to despatching the order.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock on receipt of order. You will be contacted be with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, VAT is added at the current rate. All other orders are VAT free, please contact our sales team to discuss this option. We do not ship items abroad.

Credit Card Security

All credit card payments are processed by Opayo, Stripe or Paypal, they are secure online payment processing systems that have been PCI DSS Level 1 certified.


All our products come with a full one-year return to base warranty. If you do have a problem with the equipment, please contact us and we will supply any technical assistance needed or the information needed for return of the equipment for warranty inspection. The warranty commences upon the delivery date of the item. Warranty only applies to defects in materials and/or workmanship which occur during normal and proper use. Warranty does not apply to products that are damaged due to misuse, alteration or modification.

Consumable items such as batteries are covered by a 6 month warranty from point of sale.

For the purposes of data protection legislation, we are the data controller and we will process you personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and national laws. Please note: This web site is for Business to Business sales so we request that you use your business address and contact details for all orders and do not supply personal data.

Returns Policy

In addition to our guarantee, we operate a 14 day money back guarantee for stocked items. In plain terms this means that if you are not satisfied with an item, you can return the item back to us within 14 days, in new condition and in the original packaging and we will refund your money minus shipping costs and a restocking fee of 10%. Consumable items such as batteries are covered by a 6 month warranty from point of sale.

For Non Stocked Items. The manufacturers restocking fee applies when available, No refund is available for made to order items or items when the manufacturer does not offer a restocking option. Please note that you will have to bear the cost of the return postage and ensure that there is sufficient insurance to cover any damage that may be sustained in transit. We do not offer refunds for any calibration certificates that have been ordered or refunds for the initial carriage charge associated with the order.

Remittance Terms

All goods remain the property of Blake and Boughton Ltd until full payment is received. For account customers payment is strictly 30 days from date of receiving the goods.
